Geely has unveiled the first official images of its highly anticipated Galaxy Cruiser 700, marking the debut of an off-road dedicated SUV within the Galaxy family. This formidable vehicle, characterized by its distinctive boxy design, is slated for release in the Chinese market later this year, with global expansion planned thereafter. Geely's strategic move clearly positions the Cruiser 700 to challenge established luxury off-road competitors.
Hybrid Powerhouse with Cutting-Edge Tech
The Galaxy Cruiser 700 boasts a plug-in hybrid powertrain, combining a petrol engine with three electric motors to deliver a staggering total output of 1113 horsepower. This immense power, coupled with a power-to-weight ratio of 392 hp per ton for its approximate 2.9-ton curb weight, underscores its performance credentials. Furthermore, the SUV integrates Geely's advanced G-Pilot H7 assisted driving system, powered by an Nvidia AGX Thor chip capable of 700 TOPS processing, enabling sophisticated semi-autonomous functions on both highways and urban roads.
