President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi participated today in Labor Day celebrations held at the National Egyptian Railway Industries Company (NEREC) factory within the Suez Canal Economic Zone, east of Port Said. Upon his arrival at the main celebration tent, President Sisi was received by a host of senior officials, including the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Speaker of the Senate, the Prime Minister, and the Ministers of Defense and Transport, alongside the Governor of Port Said and the head of the Suez Canal Economic Zone Authority.
Project Inaugurations and Worker Recognition
The celebration program commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by a speech from the head of the General Federation of Egyptian Trade Unions, who presented a commemorative Labor Day shield to the President. A documentary film showcasing the annual Labor Day celebration and the activities of the Ministry of Labor was also screened. President Sisi then inaugurated four new projects via video conference, which included two electricity substations in Sharqia and Giza governorates, and two general hospitals in Giza and Qalyubia. The President also honored several distinguished workers from various sectors, awarding them medals and decorations in recognition of their efforts.

Factory Tour and Metro Car Inspection
President Sisi delivered a speech, extending his congratulations and gratitude to Egypt's workers for their dedication. Concluding his visit, the President toured the NEREC factory, inspecting a metro car after its assembly at the facility. Engineer Karim Sami Saad, Chairman of Port Said Development Company, provided explanations during the inspection. The President concluded his tour by taking commemorative photos with senior officials, leaders, and workers of the NEREC factory, emphasizing the importance of national industry and the pivotal role of workers in shaping the nation's future.
