Egypt — Ekhbary News Agency
The General Authority of Meteorology in Egypt anticipates a continued rise in temperatures tomorrow, Friday, May 1, 2026. The weather will be cool in the early morning, turning hot during the day across most areas. Southern Upper Egypt is expected to experience extremely hot conditions, while nights will remain cool. The maximum temperature in Cairo is projected to reach 31 degrees Celsius.
Weather Phenomena Details: Water Fog
The Authority reported the formation of water fog, which may occasionally be dense, between 4 AM and 8 AM. This fog will affect some roads leading to and from northern Egypt, extending to Greater Cairo, Canal cities, northern Upper Egypt, and central Sinai. This could lead to a reduction in horizontal visibility on these routes, prompting caution for commuters.

Wind Activity and Light Drizzle Chances
Furthermore, scattered areas of Greater Cairo, South Sinai, and the Red Sea governorate will experience active winds, with speeds ranging from 30 to 35 km/h. These winds may stir up sand and dust in parts of the Western Desert intermittently. There are also weak chances of some low clouds forming over scattered areas of the northern coasts, Lower Egypt, Greater Cairo, and Canal cities, potentially resulting in light, non-impactful drizzle in some regions.
