A former Channel 5 News presenter, Claudia-Liza Vanderpuije, has formally withdrawn claims against her former co-host Dan Walker, Channel 5, and ITN. The claims, which included allegations of unfair dismissal, discrimination on grounds of race and sex, and breach of contract, have been concluded following a mutual agreement between the parties involved. Sources told Ekhbary News Agency that the terms of this settlement remain confidential.

Mr. Walker stated his readiness to defend the allegations in a tribunal, expressing his belief that he should not have been implicated. Channel 5 and ITN have acknowledged the resolution, stating they continue to deny the claims in full. An undisclosed amount was paid to Ms. Vanderpuije to withdraw her tribunal, without any admission of liability from the broadcaster or ITN.
