Cairo — Hassan Fawzy, head of the Coffee Division at the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, confirmed that coffee is among the commodities most affected by climate and economic crises globally. As it happens, this situation is significantly pushing up its prices in international markets.
Climate Impact on Global Coffee Output
Speaking during a phone interview on the "Studio Extra" program via the "Extra" channel, Fawzy elaborated that recurring droughts, severe floods, and broader climate changes in major coffee-producing countries have directly impacted global production volumes. This reduction in supply inevitably leads to higher prices, placing additional strain on both consumers and importers.
