Cairo, Egypt - Ekhbary News Agency
Zamalek's first-team technical staff, led by Moatamed Gamal, opted to reduce the physical workload for players during Tuesday's training session. Held at the Military College Stadium, the session was part of the team's preparations for their upcoming Egyptian Premier League match against Pyramids FC. The decision aims to prevent player fatigue while ensuring optimal readiness for the crucial encounter.
Portuguese fitness coach Nuno Costa Ribeiro supervised the physical segment of the training, which commenced with light jogging around the pitch, followed by various gentle ball drills. Subsequently, the technical staff dedicated a portion of the session to implementing strategic and tactical plays. Moatamed Gamal divided the players into groups to focus on specific tactical aspects before concluding the training with a comprehensive technical scrimmage. Zamalek currently leads the Premier League standings with 46 points, closely followed by Pyramids FC in second place with 44 points. The highly anticipated match is scheduled for next Thursday at Cairo International Stadium, marking a pivotal moment in the title race.
