Lebanese President Joseph Aoun on Thursday condemned "continuous" Israeli "violations" of the ceasefire agreement with Hezbollah in the country's south. Aoun called for "pressure" to be exerted on Israel to cease strikes targeting civilians and paramedics, amidst a daily increase in the number of dead and wounded.
President Aoun Highlights Persistent Violations
During a meeting with a delegation from the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, President Aoun stated, according to the presidency, that "Israeli violations continue in the South despite the announcement of a ceasefire." He further noted that these violations include the demolition and bulldozing of homes and places of worship, contributing to the rising toll of victims and injured individuals.

The condemnation by President Aoun comes as official Lebanese media reported a series of Israeli raids on various areas in southern Lebanon since Thursday morning. These strikes have reportedly resulted in fatalities, underscoring the ongoing escalation and tension in the border region.
