Egypt — Ekhbary News Agency
The Egyptian General Authority of Meteorology has released its detailed weather forecast for Friday, May 1, 2026, indicating a continued rise in temperatures across most parts of the country. The authority stated that the weather will be mildly cold in the early morning and at night, while daytime conditions will be hot in most regions, becoming extremely hot in South Upper Egypt.
Warnings of Morning Mist and Active Winds
The forecast highlights the presence of water mist from 4 AM to 8 AM, which may be dense at times, potentially reducing horizontal visibility on roads leading to and from northern Egypt, including Greater Cairo, Canal Cities, North Upper Egypt, and Central Sinai. Additionally, active winds are expected, with speeds ranging from 30 to 35 km/h, in scattered areas of Greater Cairo, South Sinai, and the Red Sea Governorate. These winds could stir up sand and dust in parts of the Western Desert. The meteorological authority also anticipates weak chances of light, non-impactful drizzle from low clouds in scattered areas along the Northern Coasts, Lower Egypt, Greater Cairo, and Canal Cities.
