Early Salary Disbursement for April 2026 Announced
In a move designed to support citizens and ease living costs, the Egyptian government has officially announced the advancement of the salary payment date for state administrative employees for April 2026. Salaries will now be disbursed starting Sunday, April 19th, 2026, several days earlier than the traditional payment date of the 24th of the month.

The Ministry of Finance has confirmed that the salary disbursement will follow an organized schedule, with different government entities assigned specific days. This phased approach aims to ensure a smooth payment process, prevent overcrowding at ATMs and bank branches, and guarantee that funds are accessible from the early hours of the designated payment days.
Available Payment Methods
Employees will have multiple convenient options for receiving their salaries:
- Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) of various banks.
- Post office branches.
- Electronic payment companies.
These diverse channels are intended to provide significant flexibility for employees to choose their preferred method and timing for salary withdrawal.
New Wage Increases: Effective Date
The government has clarified that the April 2026 salary payments will not include any new increments. The planned increases to the minimum wage are scheduled to be implemented starting July 2026, coinciding with the beginning of the new fiscal year. This initiative is part of the state's ongoing efforts to improve living standards and boost the purchasing power of workers.
Details of Upcoming Wage Adjustments
The upcoming wage adjustments are expected to raise the minimum wage by approximately 1,000 Egyptian Pounds. These increases will be applied across various job grades, including:
- Excellent Grade: EGP 14,900 (up from EGP 13,200).
- Director General or equivalent: EGP 11,400 (up from EGP 10,300).
- Specialized Third Grade: EGP 9,100 (up from EGP 8,700).
- Fifth Grade and Support Services: EGP 9,100 (up from EGP 8,100).
